The Afternoon Tea group meets regularly on a Monday in cafés in and around Leicester, UK. They aim to compare the different cafés and find their favourite ones, as well as socialising with people studying BSc Media Production. They also encourage others to have afternoon tea similarly to the group.

How to Get Started

Firstly a group of friends or acquaintances need to arrange a suitable time and place to meet. Then they can talk and arrange where they would like to go for Afternoon Tea, whether it be a two minutes walk or ten minutes walk away. When decided and inside the place to have Afternoon Tea, the group can then decide what they want to order. The aim is to stay in the café for at least between thirty minutes and an hour. This is to make sure the group has enough time to have conversation, drink and eat. The group can then arrange a next time to go out for Afternoon Tea and invite other people along too.

Examples

When The Tea Tour group first went out, they met up on De Montfort University campus. They then walked into Leicester and decided to go to Holly's Coffee Shop. The group sat down and had a quick chat before looking at the menu. They ordered and stayed for about an hour. Blog posts about this trip can be found here and here.
