In September 2009, DC Entertainment was formed to become the home of the iconic brands: DC Comics (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and more), Vertigo (Sandman, Fables, American Vampire and more) and MAD.

Publishing thousands of comic books, graphic novels and magazines each year, DC Entertainment is the largest English-language publisher of comics in the world.

Background

DC Entertainment is the creative division of these brands under the Time Warner Company; Warner Bros. Entertainment. Content created within the history of DC Comics across various mediums including: film, television, consumer products, home entertainment, interactive entertainment and more.

We Can Be Heroes

In January 2012, in coalition with Warner Bros. and Time Warner, DC Entertainment launched a charitable campaign in order to fund and raise awareness of the hunger crisis situated in the Horn of Africa; this campaign was set up under the name ‘We Can Be Heroes’ offering perks in return for specific donated amounts.
