Food Inc is a 2008 documentary directed by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Robert Kenner and is about corporate food production in the United States of America. The documentary looks in detail at the industrial production of food and whether methods used by corporations are humane and environmentally safe.
The first part of the film looks at the industrial production of meat and whether it's inhumane and environmentally and economically justified. The second part of the film looks at the industrial production of grains and vegetables and whether its economically and environmentally sustainable, this section also looks at the possible risks and advantages of GM crops. The third and final section of the film looks at the power behind these ideas such as legal and economic power and how huge companies label and advertise their food.
