Graphic Design is the art and practice of planning and projecting ideas and experiences with visual and textual content. The form of communication include images, words, or graphic forms. It can also be for any purpose, whether commercial, educational, cultural, or political.

The Elements of Design The elements of design are the things that make up a design. The Principles of design are what we do to those elements. How we apply the principles of design determines how successful the design is. 
LINE - The linear marks made with a pen or brush or the edge created when two shapes meet.
SHAPE - A shape is a self contained defined area of geometric (squares and circles), or organic (free formed shapes or natural shapes). A positive shape automatically creates a negative shape.
DIRECTION - All lines have direction - Horizontal, Vertical or Oblique. Horizontal suggests calmness, stability and tranquillity. Vertical gives a feeling of balance, formality and alertness. Oblique suggests movement and action
SIZE - Size is simply the relationship of the area occupied by one shape to that of another.
TEXTURE - Texture is the surface quality of a shape - rough, smooth, soft hard glossy etc.
COLOUR - Colour is light reflected off objects. Color has three main characteristics: hue or its name (red, green, blue, etc.), value (how light or dark it is), and intensity (how bright or dull it is).
BALANCE - Balance in design is similar to balance in physics. A large shape close to the center can be balanced by a small shape close to the edge. Balance provides stability and structure to a design. It’s the weight distributed in the design by the placement of your elements.
PROXIMITY - Proximity creates relationship between elements. It provides a focal point. Proximity doesn’t mean that elements have to be placed together, it means they should be visually connected in someway.
ALIGNMENT - Allows us to create order and organisation. Aligning elements allows them to create a visual connection with each other.
REPETITION - Repetition strengthens a design by tying together individual elements. It helps to create association and consistency. Repetition can create rhythm (a feeling of organized movement).
CONTRAST - Contrast is the juxtaposition of opposing elements (opposite colours on the colour wheel, or value light / dark, or direction - horizontal / vertical). Contrast allows us to emphasize or highlight key elements in your design.
SPACE - Space in art refers to the distance or area between, around, above, below, or within elements. Both positive and negative space are important factors to be considered in every design.
Printmaking: Printmaking is the process of making artworks by printing, normally on paper. Printmaking normally covers only the process of creating prints that have an element of originality, rather than just being a photographic reproduction of a painting.
Typography: Typography is the visual component of the written word. Choice of typeface with layout, grid, colour scheme, design theme and so on will make the difference between a good, bad and great design.
Watercolour: Watercolour is paint heavily containing with water for a faint texture. Used to create various techniques of brush textures such as washes, glazing, wet in wet, dry brush, lifting off and dropping off 
Digital: Digital platforms include, manipulations of creative pieces using Adobe photoshop and illustrator.
Cutouts: The art of cutting various textures such as fabrics, various types mediums of media and utilising these cutouts to produce a collage of creative pieces.
Within many publications, institutions, or agencies, a junior designer will typically rise to a senior designer, then art director, and then creative director. Depending on the industry served or the medium, the junior designer may be called a graphic designer, UI/UX designer, visual designer, motion designer, digital designer, web designer, animator, production artist, or graphic artist.
At the mid-level, the title may be more specific: information designer, interaction designer, product designer, environmental graphics designer, information architect, package designer, exhibition designer, experience designer, or content strategist.
At the executive level, designers occupy positions such as owner/founder, executive creative director, head of design, or chief creative officer.
