Jones and Hafner, two social theorists whom have worked together on the book Understanding Digital Literacies: A Practical Introduction. Their work focuses on the digtial tools and practices that are used in accordance to social media. The topics they focus on with digital tools are:[1]

Rodney H. Jones

Rodney H. Jones

Jones is currently a member of the English faculty at the University of Hong Kong.[2] His research involves discourse analysis, which is looking at the way language is used in a social context to 'enact' activities and identities. [3]

Christoph A. Hafner

Christoph Hafner

Hafner is an assistant professor in the faculty of English at the University of Hong Kong.[8] His principal research interests include English language teaching and learning, legal English and digital literacies. In particular, he is interested in studying how new technologies can be utilised to support the development of both 'traditional' domain-specific literacies (e.g.English and Law), and the 'digital literacies' which are necessary to exploit potential of digital media.[9]
