Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem
Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem is the working title for the upcoming Wii U RPG game, co-developed by Atlus and Intelligent Systems. As the title would suggest, it is a crossover game featuring the Atlus series Shin Megami Tensei and the Nintendo series Fire Emblem and was announced via a Nintendo Direct on 23rd January 2013.
While the game was announced in 2013, the game wouldn't been seen or heard of again until 1st April 2015, where the first trailer was shown via a Nintendo Direct. The trailer showed off some of the elements in the game, including the battle system, character interactions and anime styled cutscenes. The trailer is mostly set in a modern day Japan, as evidenced by the mp3 players, large screen TVs and idol posters throughout the trailer, however there are parts set in night where monsters come out and the characters bare resemblance to Fire Emblem characters and classes. As well as summoning characters, many of the characters seen in the trailer bare heavy resemblance to characters from the Fire Emblem series, including Marth, Shiida, Lucina, Lyn, Chrom and Tiki, who appears to be a modern day idol but also appears in a mysterious temple in a forest not set in modern time.
