[pocket watch] The concept of time is a measurement of the duration of events within the past, present, future, and arguably, eternity. Time is often referred to as the fourth dimension.[1] People assume that time is a straight progression from cause to effect but actually it is from a non-linear, non-subjective view point. It is more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff.[2] But more realistically, it is seen as a nonspatial continuum in which events occur in apparently irreversible succession from the past through the present to the future.[3]
